UNii alarm system

One hardware platform

The UNii alarm system is a flexible security solution that can be customized to meet the unique needs of your clients. Thanks to its Grade 3 certification and modular design, the UNii can be used for all applications, including residential, office, high-risk and government agencies.

What sets UNii apart is that the alarm system is based on a single hardware platform. This allows the number of inputs to be expanded from 32 to 128 or 512 without replacing the hardware. With expansion, the central equipment at the customer’s location no longer needs to be replaced. The UNii is designed to facilitate quick and efficient installation. The housing is structured in a way that cable and conduit pathways can be easily introduced from the rear without the need for standoff spacers.

UNii Centrale

Modular alarm system

The UNii is particularly characterized by its modular structure. With a single hardware, it’s possible to customize the alarm system according to the customer’s preferences. Inputs can be easily expanded to 128 or 512 inputs, and different modules can be added to the configuration. Additional features such as redundancy, linking up to 8 control panels (clusters), or specific integrations can be added through one-time licenses.

Redundancy and clustering

The UNii can be easily linked to a second control panel, creating a redundant installation. This means that the system remains operational even in the event of a bus line break or failure of one of the control panels. This provides customers with 24/7 assurance of a functional installation. This redundancy is particularly beneficial for higher-risk settings such as jewelry stores, distribution centers, courts, or simply homes. With a single UNii, 512 inputs can be detected. If one control panel is insufficient or if the installation is distributed across multiple buildings, the UNii can be easily expanded into a cluster. Up to 8 control panels form a single installation, with the user still able to control the system from one location.

Easy installation and maintenance

The UNii is designed for quick installation. The unique housing allows for placement over existing conduit pathways. The bus components are automatically recognized, eliminating the need for address setting. Programming is straightforward using the UNii manager software. Additionally, a UNii control panel can be managed remotely from a browser using UNii online.

Connection to Fire Alarm Control Panel

As the only intrusion detection system, the UNii is EN54-21 certified. This means that the fire alarm control panel can communicate certified notifications via the UNii. Consequently, a separate communicator is no longer needed for the fire alarm control panel, saving significant procurement and recurring subscription costs for the end user. Additionally, it’s possible to forward detailed detector information to the alarm center or the mySmartControl app. This includes not only a notification of a fire but also specific details about which detectors are triggered. This enables optimal and safe coordination of firefighting and personnel response. A unique feature of the UNii that contributes to enhanced safety and reduced costs.

4G forwarding via CSL

For reporting over the internet or in cases of higher risk, one or two 4G modules are often utilized. This way, alarm notifications are not solely transmitted via the internet connection but also through the mobile network. This is highly advantageous during power outages where the local network experiences temporary interruptions. Through a unique partnership with CSL, the 4G module can be equipped with a CSL SIM card as a standard. This ensures communication through the reliable CSL network, manageable by the installer.

Expansion Modules

All expansion modules for inputs and outputs are universally designed, enabling their use in the UNii alarm system, I/O module, and door controller. This provides a suitable solution for every conceivable situation. This ensures that the right module is always available and prevents unnecessary stock of different components. The modules are mounted using the supplied mounting studs and ribbon cable. Just as straightforward as the UNii itself.
